Very clean hotel with nice bright rooms. Made very welcome on arrival by the staff. The complex was very quiet (not many guests) which suited us as we had almost sole use of the swimming pools (4) on most days. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were one of two English families staying there where everyone else appeared to be German, so it was difficult to join in conversation with many people and also to understand the entertainment. The food was adequate but very limited in choice and we ended up eating out 4 evenings. For instance, one day everything on the menu seemed to include garlic - not necessarily everyones taste. There was a lot of unidentifiable fish/meat and veg fried in batter. The thing I found most unacceptable was that we were given a bill the first day for the baby's cot 21 Euro. No where had I read or been told that the cot would need to be hired at extra cost. Also the TV was 15 euro per week plus a 10 euro deposit for the remote control. There was no toaster or kettle in the kitchenette. We used pans to boil water but our 2 yr old loves toast so the toaster would have been great.

stayed here with the grand children when we booked it we were told there was entertainment for the kds.they didnt tel us it was all in bloody german were asked if we wanted to enter a quiz one night soon as i said i was english she said sorry only german yet she spoke perfect english ,food was reasonable but nothing much for kids to eat didnt even have the old faitfull one beans,room was on the front over a pizza shop was allso loads o mites scurrying across the floor and work surfaces . main pool across the road was ok but the one on our side needs work doing on it. a good lick of paint on the outside of the buildng would work wonders.they were painting the walls in the reception while we were there why i dont know they were fine. should have done the apartments instead,the resort itself is great lots to see loads of shops and bars.would not go to this hotel again.staff at the bar was excellent no shortage of drinks plenty to choose from.plus didnt have to wait long for a drink.very few english in hotel.but not a problem met some gret people who could speak english.

dirty pools. this is a german orientated apartment block. go elsewhere. it is overpriced.

We stayed with a toddler and were all inclusive. The hotel is essentially a german hotel, therefore signs, information, entertainment etc are all German. Having travelled with a toddler it was a little disappointed that he could not join in on a night time but we tried our best !
Having a choice of pools was fantastic, there is a large pool over the road that gets busiest and has a bar and there are 3 more quiet ones.
Food was good quality, hot when it was needed. Toddler was kept happy as there was always a pasta option every night.
Rooms quite basic but served their function and were exceptionally clean.
Staff were so disintrested at the pool bar but everywhere else lovely, especially the lady on reception. Manager always onsite as well which was nice.
Location is excellent cala gran beach a stones throw away and you are very close to shops and restaurants. I would say that we didn't really find much in cala d'or, it's all just souviner shops and restaurants, the harbour is a nice walk.
