“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

We loved this hotel. It has charm and character and is run by a French family who made us feel very welcome; almost like visiting friends. We only had 2 nights there but would have liked to stay longer, and I’m sure we will go back one day. The rooms are cool and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the pretty courtyard garden. Breakfast and dinner are served in the garden which provides an idyllic setting. Our evening meal was superb, with great attention to detail both in the cooking and the presentation and service. Breakfasts were also very good, with everything freshly prepared and served at the table instead of the usual buffet. It was nice to have free internet access as most hotels seem to charge for this.
Cala Ratjada is an attractive resort with good walks along the sea front and a nice beach about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We didn’t come across many British visitors there; it seemed to be mainly German tourists. It was quite a lively resort in the evening, but Ses Rotges was a haven of peace and tranquillity if you wanted to get away from it all.
The hotel does not have a swimming pool, so it won’t appeal to everyone, but I would highly recommend it.

“private and classy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2011

If you want accommodation with character, charm and lot's of stile this place is for you. Its Mallorcan mixed with French stile as it is French owned family hotel. Has a romantic award winning restaurant, where minimalistic gourmet dinners and same stile breakfasts are offered. Really lovely garden, nice owners, very clean and mostly very quiet too, apart for Fridays and Saturdays perhaps (If you close the windows and leave the air condition on it's fine). Lovely beaches nearby, especially Gala Cat, 5 min. by feet. Overall Cala Ratjada is a dreamy little village. Recommending to try out fish restaurant in the harbor though, we got addicted to their fresh daily catches and wide selection! Boat trip is a must and renting a car as it locally might get slightly boring after a while I guess. More German than English are around, but both are spoken. Would definitely go back any time.

“Hidden Gem - Romantic - High french Cuisine standards - Genuine - "Coup de coeur"”

This hotel definitely has a special place in my heart!
So close from Cala Rajada nightlife.... but so well preserved from the noise!!! Step into it, step into a world apart!

Owned and run by a french family which obviously loves what she does!

Having dinner there is a MUST!!!! Gourmet diner with high french cuisine standards, good wine and lovely advises!

The bedrooms are rather small... BUT extremely cosy, well furnished in a genuine majorcan style. Attention is paid to all the details!!!

If you are looking for a genuine experience, this is definitely the place to go!!!!

p.s: they also sell lovely yummy home made jams ^_^

“Great petit hotel with ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2009

What makes this hotel special is the hospitality of the family running the hotel. Unfortunately we had other arrangements and could not taste their very well known good food. The wifi and guest computer need to be upgraded.
