WE booked direct with hotel and got adjoining rooms and half board for 5 nights in August 2010. Most majorcan hotels are 1 star below equivalent UK hotels so we were pleasantly surprised with the rooms. very large, great marble bathrooms with usual freebees. ok TV with some english channels, nice balcony with patial view of sea.
Check in very easy, no hassle, pool was average size but so refreshing and never busy, most people sleep in loungers all day which were easily available with minimal reservation by early morning lounge baggers! The kids loved the pool and would swim all day long. The indoor pool opened onto outdoor pool so provided shade when required.
Towel system was confusing requiring a deposit to be paid and a slip of paper given to you which you returned with the towel at end of day. Not too much english spoken by staff so usually led to confusion for first few days.
Staff slightly grumpy but after a few days this was almost charming in a funny way, the kids enjoyed ordering icecream from the pool bar and signing for it (not realising I had to pay at the end) lunch was good and relatively cheap.Buffet at night did get a bit repetative but was of a good quality with a theme on each evening to vary the mains.
Beach across road was beautiful. There was a supermarket on the beach which was 50 yards from hotel and made better value for water, icecream etc.
Lots of good restaurants along the coastal path and some bars too. Not a great place for teenage ravers but great for couples and families.
Families would leave their floatable toys at the end of their stay in one corner by the pool so there was a never ending supply of inflatables for the kids to use, we left a couble of airbeds and a dingy!!
In summary very good value indeed. Go for half board
