“Lovely Hotel”

Just came back from a short break at the Marins Playa. The room was large and very clean, we were on a high floor which gave us a great view however when we got to our room we were right beside the lift and were concerned, but we didn't hear a thing.
The location of the hotel was right between Cala Millor and Cala Bona which was ideal. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff were lovely, would love to go back and highly recommended it

“I dont speak German, but i can if you like...”

This was my fist holiday abroad with my friend and we stayed in the Marin Playa Apartments. The hotel was lovely and clean, I cannot fault it, however as it is apartments your room will be cleaned every two days. Also the hotel is mainly based are a German Tourist NOT English, NOT ideal for English families with young children, as ALL aspects of the hotel (signs, service & entertainment) is in GERMAN. Also this means the usual trick of dashing out in the morning and reserving your sunbeds for the day, as we all know the German tourists like to have their spot reserved before sunrise.
As you are self catering you are responsible for cleaning your own pots and kitchen mess ect ect. Very dissapointed that there was no cleaning equipment to wash pots though. No washing liquid, no cloth or sponge, therefore we had to buy our own. Of course its not alot of money but still its the hassle of actually finding somewhere that sells what you need.
I would like to remind all guest to BRING A ADAPTOR. Some hotels across Europe are fitted with english style plugs however this one is not, so save yourself some Euro's and dont get ripped off abroad, its definately worth that trip to the pound shop to purchase one!
Everything in this hotel is GERMAN, the TV channels are German, you will therefore be more up to date with the BBC world news then you actually are back in England.
We did book a top floor room however when we arrived we were told sorry they are all gone now, and for some reason they thought a Basement poolside room would be what we wanted? Wheres the sense in that? how they thought a top floor room to a basement room was what we would like to replace our reservation I don't know?
The hotel has two lovely pools, one for children the other more adult, however theres alot of screaming and splashing around the pool area due to the large kids pool. Also rude music was playing during the day was being blasted around the pool with children about, however dont think this was a problem because none of the guests would of understood the lyrics.
On a brighter note the hote did FANTASTIC cocktails and there was a wide selection of room available. Definately very good value for money as the hole 5 day holiday only costs me approx £140 and then spending money ontop of that.
The hotel location is PERFECT. this is the best thing about the hotel as you are only 5-10minutes walk from the beach and there is plenty of nice value for money restaurants to eat at around the area. I would reccommend a Italian restaurant called 'Paparazzi' which was delcious and very well placed about 10 minutes walk down from the hotel.
The transfer time from the hotel is long, takes around 40-50minutes so be prepared for the bus journey, water and snacks for example.

Room Tip: Bottom/Basement room SHOULD be avoided, alot of noise everynight from the evening entertainment, and...

“Had a great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

Stayed at Marins Playa for 11 days in july. Had arranged for the hotel to pick us up in Palma, and it went smooth. Our room was very clean, nice size for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids 5 and 3 years old). There where two pools. One with a section for the smallest kids, one with a jacuzzi. There are also some palm threes in the pool section, which I personally find very nice. Makes it less sterile. There was also a playground at the property. The kids wanted to stay at the hotel all day, they really loved it. It is withi walking distance to the beach, so we divided the day between pool and beach. Every night there was a minidisco for the kids. The staff was good. We had half board, and was very satisfied with the food. Had some problems with waiters that did not understand english, and during the evening it was sometimes very hard to get to order anything. Was mostly German and Dutch guests. The evening entertainement for adults was like you would expect in these sort of places. Not my taste, but it is hard to make entertainment that suits everyone.

The gym was quite poor. Where to runningbelts. Only one was working properly, but the belt was slipping a lot so it was a bit annoying running on it. Was some other machines as well, but if going to the gym is real important for you then this is probably not the place. We had a problem with the toilet one day. It was fixed really fast, and they also followed up on it to check that we where satisfied. Also noticed that there where several people there in wheelchairs, and it seemed to be no problem moving around on wheels.

All in all we had a great stay, and would recommend this place to anyone going on a family trip to Mallorca.

“Best Med hotel experienced!”

Having stayed in hotels on many of the mainlands and islands around the Mediterranean sea, Marins Playa Suites is by far the best ever experienced! The Suites part of this large hotel complex is a completely renovated building with nicely furnished, very modern suites (Scandinavian interior style) and sea-facing balconies. The pool area has two pools, whirlpool parts, palm trees, a bar and is an area that you find it very hard to leave. It has everything you could wish from a pool area in the Meds. Coming to this hotel, don't expect to see any of the typical white, cheap plastic furnitures on balconies or pool area - it just isn't there. Also don't expect to see children as the hotel has an age limit of 14 years. All in all, we had a fantastic couples getaway here and would recommend it to anybody looking for a perfect base at Mallorca.

Room Tip: Keep in mind that Marins Playa is a large complex so make sure to book in the right part - this revi...

“We loved it very much!!”

Our stay here was one like a dream!!!
The room we had was a junior Suite. It had a nice bath and a great rain shower!!
The whole bathroom was wonderfull. Two sinks also!

The bed was very nice and the television was of a nice size.
We had a big closet with a safe in it. There was also very much space to put your bags and suitcase in, so they won't be in your way at your stay here.

The balcony had two nice chairs and the view was great, the sea in front of you. The balcony had glass all around so you had a great view.

The food was very nice, plenty different foods.
The only thing I think they have to work on is there service. They are nice, but not all of them. And there is only one person who is taking orders (drinks) and there are 5 people bringing around the drinks.

The Animation team is SUPER!! They speak 3 or 4 languages so they can give the children and the adults a great time.

We loved it and we recommend it to everyone.

Ow and the swimming pool is also wonderfull, very neat and still. There are not so many people in the pool when we were there.

And the coctails are also very nice!!
