We booked a "hotel allocation on arrival" holiday and were allocted La Pinta, however when we arrived at that hotel we were transferred to the Vistamere. Our's was a late arrival, however there were sandwiches, fruit and bottled water in the room when we arrived. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and, although the room overlooked a disco pub we were never disturbed by noise.

There were four other British couples at the hotel, the rest were German - everyone was friendly.

Like everone else at the hotel we were on an "all inclusive basis" The food was very good indeed - plenty of choice and hot food was served hot. The bar service was good - drinks taken around the pool had to be in plastic containers because of health and safety reasons. The bar closed promptly at 11.00 pm.

The hotel is very well situated as it is about 50 yards from the traffic-free street where all the shops are and about 200 yards from the beautiful beach.

The staff were helpful and courtious although only a few of them could speak fluent English.

Overall it was fantastic value for money and we will be returning in future years.

We booked a four night Mon-Fri stay at La Pinta Hotel online via Teletext Holidays. We arrived at midday along with another couple on our transfer (Resort Hoppa). At the reception desk they were in front of us and were told that there were no rooms for 2 weeks and they would be going to another hotel...they were then pushed aside and we handed in our paperwork and were told the same. After making a fuss they were told that they could move back the next day but we would be staying. We were ushered outside and given a drink whilst waiting for a taxi then shipped out to another hotel - The Vistamar 6 streets away. This was full of either very geriatric Germans who appeared to have been let out of their care homes or other English people that had been shipped out from La Pinta. It wasn't bad for a three star and the food was bearable. The restrictions at the bar on the all inclusive drinks was ridiculous - the barman was very miserable and would not give you another drink until you had an empty (plastic!) cup. We tried to get a 'round' of drinks and got told off!! Also I booked at La Pinta as all the rooms were supposed to have a balcony and sea view. Our room at the Vistamer had a lovely view of the carpark and the back of some buildings!!

We had to reconfirm the transfer with ResortHoppa which is a bit of a faff. When we asked at the hotel we were staying in and they said they could not change the transfer and it was nothing to do with them. We went back to La Pinta and the bloke on reception had a horrendous attitude. He said it was nothing to do with him and refused to phone to ensure we were getting picked up. He was very rude and bordering on threatening...so in retaliation we stayed at that bar all night and the drinks there are free flowing. We had a good time with the other couples we met but this was not down to the hotel, its staff or its ambience!

This hotel was sold as an up market 4 star hotel with all the associated facilities and services. How ever we got no room service,2 english speaking channels, appallingly bland luke warm and recycled, "food" cold in door pool, limited gym , uncommnicative staff who"s sole purpose seem to be avoiding eye contact with residents seeking there help.

This would be a purfect destination if they did not just cater fully for non aspirational germans. With limited culinary demands in every sense of the word.

By the third day we ended up eating out even though we were half board. i would highly recommend the HPC restaurant on the harbour just down the road from the hotel

It was so dead i mean quite we hired a car recommend and drove round the whole island in one week .

holidayed with friends .hotel clean ,meals ok ,most staff friendly. near beach and shops .stayed all inclusive only one drink per person at a time. WHAT WE DIDNT LIKE WAS RATS ,everynite at 10 .o.clock along came BEN 10 as we nicknamed him running along fencing on veranda where we sat for a drink , this was reported to reception staff but they did not want to now. No entertianment for english ,may aswell not hav been there.THEY FLY ENGLISH FLAG BUT DO NOT CATER FOR THEM
