“Great Stay...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

Me and my partner stayed here for my 20th Birthday, from the 18th October to the 21st, as i work for a holiday company myself i knew there was going to be germans around as i had read the reviews. I got the hotel cheap enough, £100 Half Board, that was just our online price! (Monarch Hotels) So didnt use my discount as this was cheap enough.. On arrival we were transferd to the wrong hotel but this was due to 'Low Cost Extras' had got mixed up with 'Cala Millor Apartments' and the correct 'Cala Millor Hotel', We finally got there and checked in, the staff on reception are very helpful and even offered a glass of champagne! Whether we would have been charged or not.. we declined as it was morning still! :) ..We was then located our room, which was very clean had a fridge, hairdryer, bath, shower, hugeee bed, balcony with garden/sea view. We enjoyed our few days in Cala Millor, most of the resturants were mainly focused for Germans, as the food at the hotel was german styled, quality food but not to our taste, we eat once. We found a 2 english pubs and bars, the rose and crown is one to look for down the strip on top of the shops, they do good food, bingo, & karaoke. The night before our flight home, one of the staff knocked on before we was on our way out with a big bowl of fruit and a bottle of champagne and a note to say happy birthday, I thought this was great considering i never told them it was my birthday, they did photo copy mine & my partners passport on arrival, but for them to notice this and do something about it made it feel nice and felt appriciated. As we travelled in October it was sunny when we went, beach was packed, the jacuzzi and heated indoor pool was nice, apart from naked germans in the sauna that made my fella run a mile when he walked in it.. But overall fab hotel, definatly 3 star or even more...

“Better than a 3 star in many respects”

My wife and I, mother in law, and one of my wife's cousins spent an All-inclusive week at the 3-star Cala Millor Garden in September 2010...Trip was booked with German travel agency AllTours, included flight and airport transfer to hotel.....Very satisfied with all aspects of trip....Hotel was very nice, good location, less than 5 minutes off the beach, all rooms with balcony, very clean, adequately sized... Meals were buffet style, large selection, quality varied good to excellent.....Since we booked all-inclusive, alcohol was included, and drink selection was very good.....pool grounds were quite large and very nice.......Entertainment varied from average to very good, sometimes tacky, but always entertaining.....Overall, vacation was a good deal.....Since it was mid-September, no school-aged kids, which made it even more enjoyable.....Hotel is close to a 4-star in many respects

“Excellent Location- Lovely Friendly Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

We stayed here as a last minute end of season break and were pleased with everything, The food was nice,Hot, Fresh, Varied each day, The Staff were polite and accommodating and seemed happy to help with any needs. Paco the barman was always smiling and chatty, The pool was clean well kept as were the gardens, The entertainment was lacking due to the hotel closing down the following week but they still played music at night.
There were mostly Germans in the hotel but we still had a nice week as the staff also spoke English. Overall the location was good, near the beach and local bus routes.
We hope to go again next year with the wife's elderly mother because of the good facilities for the disabled they provide. I would certainly Recommend this hotel to anyone over 30 as no children are allowed which makes it quite peaceful and relaxing.

“Clean and tidy hotel but mainly caters for German tourists”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

The hotel was clean and tidy but we were disappointed that everything was more catered for the German tourists. We were only the only British family there the staff spoke limited English and most of the notices are in German or Spanish which again is not very good. Evening meals it was a guess work what food was on display nothing was in English to inform, you did feel like you shouldn't be there. The tv was in German or Spanish and again it should be for all tourists who book their hotel!
We felt the hotel was too noisey you could hear the maids doing the rounds in the morning and we were woken up everyday by other guests around 7.00am on holiday we expect to get up a little later!
The resort was nice but the beach was smelly and full of seaweed and large rocks to get over to have a swim if you chanced it? again we were very disappointed on this and did go to the next resort Cala Millor but was packed like sardines on the beach.
Hopefully you don't make the mistake we made by reading up on trip advisor after we booked the holiday but again Fleetway.com should have advised us of the above which they failed to do so they could have a sale. Our next holiday will be in a Villa where we will not get disturbed so much! and a better beach!

“Sun, Sea and Sand ......”

After landing at Palma airport, we had a hire car and drove ourselves to Cala Millor, a journey that took just over an hour. The roads are excellent and well signposted. No problems with the food, it was varied and plentiful. None of us had any tummy upsets. I went with my husband and 2 teens (14 and 16) and we all enjoyed the food. There was a good selection of dishes including hot ones or various salads. If you like chips they offer them too!

We stayed at the hotel for a week and had a very relaxing time. Our room was adequate and clean, equipped with twin beds, air con, fridge, balcony and bathroom with shower. I found my bed and pillow(s) rather uncomfortable though.

The hotel was conveniently situated on the edge of the main shopping area and we walked in most evenings after dinner to browse around the tourist shops, which were open until quite late (after 10pm). The beach is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

There was entertainment most nights which ranged from a pub style quiz to singers.

However, I feel that the hotel is aimed at couples rather than families with older children and we only saw a couple of other older teens during our stay. The other guests were mostly German/Dutch/Danish.

The hotel appeared to cater for wheelchair users as we saw at least 4 or 5 during our stay. The indoor pool has a hoist, the entrance to the hotel has ramps and there is an elevator.

English was understood by most of the hotel staff.

Would we go back again? Yes we would.
