“End of season but still good”

Travelled at the last week but one in October. Reception staff gave us a good welcome and efficiently checked us into our room. The room was great with an amazing sea view which really made our holiday. Breakfast provided plenty of choice. Evening meals were a little repetitive and lacked some choice we have had in other hotels. We are not fussy eaters so found plenty to choose from. Wine and beer were very cheap in the restaurant. The restaurant staff were not welcoming which was a bit of a shame. It was great to be able to select so many different types of fish. The bar lacked a little in atmosphere but this was made up for by the bar staff. The young male waiter made a real effort to chat in Spanish to my husband who was trying to practice his Spanish. Evening entertainment was poor but not what we had come on holiday for. We loved the indoor pool and spa area and used this in the morning until the weather got warmer. It was a shame that the steam room and sauna were not switched on but cost extra. The hotel location is excellent placed set back from the Cala Millor strip. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: We went for a mid floor sea view and this had a great view and morning sun.

“Back of season or what?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Arrived for the last week of October after checking with the hotel for full functionality. We were told everything as normal.
Checked in after private transfer from airport which was way above coach issues, definately advise this.
Booked a suite, which had good view at front of hotel which could have been higher as we were on 7th floor of 12.
Food was near always cold or luke warm at best, even though the hotel was low on numbers. The soup was chilled?! Complained many times to no avail. Asked to leave the restaurant at 20:45 with friends as they were closing up and to compound this in the bar were thrown out at 22:55 every night as again they were closing up. Based on the above very very poor.
Location of hotel good, fortunately the weather was great generally. The resort itself by the end of October was closing down big time and one must be careful what they are eating, also most food joints do not accept Visa at this time of year as they are clearly using a 'cash only' loop.
I would think that the hotel would struggle to cope in peak season with the food as its a small area for selection and the fixed seat policy can either make or break your holiday depending who you sit beside...............
Swimming pool fine, indoor pool never used but looked ok, rooms were tired at end of season with elevators missing ripped off phones which clearly is not good.
Reception staff except one were short and abrupt in favour of German speaking guests and never saw the bell boy or any talks on resort/area or offered any guidance whatsoever.
One last thing, the maid was one of the laziest we have encountered.

Room Tip: usually I would say email the hotel but after 5 emails it took their head office to contact them.

“Super hotel.”

We started our holiday here for one week as we wanted a nice, relaxing beach holiday before visiting Palma for a few days, and we loved every minute. The staff are genuinely nice and want to please from the moment you arrive. The whole hotel is kept spotless and the room was very nice with a good sea view. They have a big swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds to go around and a spa too with a gym and so on. The buffet style restaurant was good quality and we always ate well and enjoyed our evening meals. The area is quite nice with a lovely beach which was not crowded, even though it was still quite hot for oct.
A great hotel for relaxing and enjoying the good food and weather majorca has to offer.

“Lovely Stress free family Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights from mid August and had a fabulous time.
The hotel welcomed us with a chilled glass of juice on arrival and directed us to our 2nd floor rooms. We were overlooking the street however you could see the beach in all it glory!
TIP: If you can get up early and watch the sunrise it is beautiful! If not just look at my photo ;0)
My husband broke his foot 3 days before the holiday and the management at the hotel were so friendly and helpful asking if there was anything they could do to help.
As it turns out we had everything we needed within the hotel or a very short distance away.
It is a predominantly German visitor base however DO NOT let this put you off !! It was the most friendly hotel I have ever been too. It always put me to shame when people of all generations go out of their way to speak in English.
On our last day a Dutch visitor lost his wedding ring in the pool and everyone + I mean everyone got up to look for it, all nationalities, young and old.
The pool area was big enough for the hotel, always clean and has plenty of sunbeds at all times of the day (what a relief!). There is also disabled access to the pool. As a none user I had never realised how many other hotels we have visited that hadn't had this facility!
Next to the hotel is a reasonably priced Spa, great for lunch, drinks, snacks etc. There is also a Burger King next to the Spa kids meal 4.50 euro (with a toy and ice cream!)
The main street out the front of the hotel is full of shops, bars and places to eat. If you are looking for British the ones to mention are, with the hotel behind you turn left down the main shopping street head to the Sportsman for good quality and cheap food, English football, drinks and service. Alternatively head right down the main street to the Rose & Crown for normal bar service, yes you get up and order your own drinks! pub quiz at 9pm - not too hard we even managed to win... They both also do Karaoke
As we were half board and the food was so good at the hotel we only ate out once at the evening. We headed into Cala Bona port it is walking distance we took a taxi though 7 euro each way. The meal was great quality and very reasonably priced 90 Euro for 2 adults and 1 child, 3 course + bottle of very good wine.
Due to the husbands injury we didn't go to the beach however it is a stones throw from the hotel with plenty of sunbeds, the sea looked clean and very blue and there was always a nice breeze.
There was free wifi in the hotel, just ask reception for the code. More British TV channels they we can get at home without SKY and a fridge.
One downside I found the beds a bit hard however it didn't really stop me sleeping and I am sure if I mentioned it to the hotel they would have fixed the issue!
My test of a holiday would I recommend and yes I definitely would!

“A super holiday, would definitely recommend”

I recently stayed here with my husband, twin sons aged 24 and one girlfriend.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile and a welcome drink. Check in with efficient and speedy.
All of our three rooms had great views over the sea, were of decent size and had bathrooms that were more than adequate. In addition a minibar was included with space for your own drinks and a safe (for a small charge).
The whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is superb, a stone's throw away from the beach.
The food was very good, always a varied menu, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, breads, meat and cooked food for breakfast and a wide choice of tea or coffee. In the evening soup, salad, fish, meat, vegetables, chips and lots of tempting deserts.
The pool area was great, we always found five sunbeds together and there was plenty of sunshades. The daytime entertainment was very low key which suited us. The evening entertainment was average but there are plenty of bars etc within a short distance.
All in all a great hotel and holiday and we would definitely go back again.
