The hotel has a seafront location and the area is very level so no problems walking around. I suspect that the hotel was built quite some time ago and is similar to many hotels on the Spanish Costas, ie built around a rectangular swimming pool. Having said that, while the sunloungers are rather close together the area is not unpleasant and gets the sun most of the day.
We got a (free!) upgrade to a seaview room (Riu class members) which, while not as large as more modern hotels, was adequate and comfortable. It had the advantage of lots of drawer and wardrobe space and the beds were comfortable. Sadly the A/c was only on from 2pm till midnight so the room did get warm from the morning sun. We slept with the balcony door open all night.
We found the food to be very good, well cooked (apart from the bacon) and plenty of variety.
All the staff were friendly efficient and keen to help. Unusually for this type of hotel the Director, Maria, went to the welcome meetings and went around the hotel during the day and was always very approachable.
We were all inclusive and found the drinks (Local brands) to be quite acceptable. The more you had the better they became!!!
The hotel was typical of Riu hotels in that it was always immaculately clean.
The entertainment at night was quite low key, but in October the Entertainment Team are due to arrive for the winter so the pool area will not be as quiet!
All in all a quiet and relaxing holiday, just what we had hoped for.
