We do have a gps and I did print out the gogle map of Ubeda. But I also asked for driving instructions from the hotel by email - whicc were "follow the yellow hotel signs right to the hotel." We followed the signs and also our gps - but once we got very close to the hotel, our gps decided to "take a break" - and we relied solely on the yellow signs. We missed where we were supposed to turn - as there is not a sign where the final left turn should be. We eventually found the hotel when the gps got it's signal back. If you are following the yellow signs, they are correct up until there is the left turn after the Park de Santa Maria ( main plaza with large church and Ubeda parador). This street ends and you can only turn left - there is a sign that points to the left for Maria de Molina. However, at the end of this street the main road (Calle Real) seems to go to the right, while a smaller one goes left. AT THIS POINT, there should be a lellow sign here pointing to the left (Calle de Jaen Montilla) - because the hotel is down this left turn about 2 blocks. Night clerk spoke no english (day clerk was much better) Hotel lobby nicely restored. Rooms average. A/C was off for the season, room quite stuffy and warm - had to leave windows open much of the night. Surprising amount of car traffic for such a small town late at night - needed earplugs for sleep. Breakfast buffet was reasonable - they even cooked fried eggs for us. Charming town and a reasonable place to stay.
