Stumbled into this place by accident and was blown away by it's charm. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is full of charm. Very spacious. The communal areas take up most of the ground floor and are HUGE. Table tennis tables, pool table, places to sit and relax it has it all! The apartments were great. We had the one accessible from the outside garden on the bottom floor. Lovely kitchen, although be careful not to open the hatch and fall into the dark cellar! Rooms were large and charming, bathroom clean. Lot's of information books and maps of the area. It was fantastic. The pool is small but just what you need. The other tenants were all very friendly, mostly australian, british or scandinavian. The garden is lovely and very big. Lots of space to catch a nice tan. The only negative was the mosquito infestation. There is a small stream that runs next to the grounds and is a breeding ground. So be prepared! I saw one guy who had about 30 bites. On each leg! Besides the mosquito breeding ground, the location is perfect! Two minute walk from the square, very central, close to the bus stops and the restaurants. It was perfect could not ask for more. Open a glass of good Chianti and enjoy it late in the evening in the garden with some good company. Doesn't sound like much but you really need to experience it!
