Lovely, charming, homey B&B with friendly staff. A hilltop away (but a 5 minute drive) from the hustle-bustle of the town, with a view to die for.

We, a couple with a teenager, stayed for three nights at La Casa Sulla Collina d'Oro.
This is the best B&B we stayed in during our holiday in Sicily.
Warm welcome by Luciano, excellent breakfast - the best one during our trip through Sicily - and clean and nicely decorated rooms.

Summarized, we had a great stay.

La Casa is nestled in a residential neighborhood facing the magnificent historic town. That means nearly every room and public space has a commanding view of the city, which is beautiful day or night. La Casa was more rustic and intimate than our other hotels in Sicily -- our room was actually a small cabin with a view window -- and we loved the contrast. The breakfast was lovely and featured local cheeses and salamis and fresh fruit; wine is available for purchase if you want a bottle to enjoy on the deck. We found this one of the most relaxing stops on our trip; we could have sat all day on the deck with a 180-degree view. This, plus our wonderful dinner at Amici Miei in town, made this a memorable base to see the mosaics and Morgantina.

The title says it all: the view of the old town of Piazza Armerina from the veranda, especially at sunset, is unforgettable. Even more unforgettable is the sumptuous and exquisite breakfast, with lively company of Luciano's friends and guests seated around the table, and, last but not least, the outgoing, friendly , helpful and knowledgeable host.
(And if you (and your GPS) get lost, as we did - the B&B is a bit difficult to find - have no fear: he'll come or send someone to bring you home!).
