We chose this hotel mainly because there are few off season options in Sciacca and its location meant we could drive there easily, avoiding the bottlenecks in town. Above a cliff facing the sea a few hundred metres to the west of the town and fishing port, the hotel Delle Terme has the facilities of spa and pool in use since Greek times (well, the spa is anyway). Rooms are spacious and clean despite not being updated since their 1960's hayday. The buffet breakfast was poor, though the friendly staff will make fresh orange or coffee to make it bearable. A great base for exploring the area. Sciacca itself has a bustle and a confidence that is absent from most of the towns in this part of Sicily.
