“Good hotel”

We were a group of 27 persons and stayed in this hotel for one week.
The room was well equipped and spacious.
Bath linen was clean and fresh every day, but no shampoo or shower gel, no shower caps, etc., only some liquid soap in a push bottle on the wall. Luckily, we had brought or own, so that was no problem really.
All spaces were clean and personnel was very friendly and helpful. Food very good.
Our room was on the front of the hotel and was very quiet. Beds were really good.
The hotel was well situated to use as accomodation basis for our Puglia discovering trips.
There were wedding festivities almost every day in the hotel, but that did'nt cause us any trouble at all. The swimming pool was very nice, but could do with some thourouh maintenance, and there was a constant humming noise (airco machinery?).
I don't think I would use this hotel for a family holiday, it is very well suited for groups though.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in front of the hotel, so you don't have any troubles with noise from wedding fes...

“A good hotel but only for package holidays”

This is an attractive hotel with spacious comfortable rooms and a superb outdoor pool. But it is out in the sticks so there is nowhere to get to without a car or taxi. The dining room is well organised, but regimented to cater to groups of different nationalities - there were as many as 3 coaches there at once. We had to sit always in the same place and order dinner 24 hours in advance. The food was promptly served, but quality was variable. I was surprised that the only main course meat offered was veal for 6 out of 7 nights. I felt sorry for the outnumbered private guests who had to endure a lot of noise. The hotel is popular for wedding receptions and there was one there every day, with 2 on Saturday. The music may be heard in some of the bedrooms, but ours was very quiet.

Room Tip: Rooms looking outward, with balconies, are quietly situated. I heard that the trulli in the grounds...

“Don't go by the appearance!”

Actually it was probably end of June last year (2010), the last Page and Moy tour to that area because of temperatures which soared to 40 degrees while we were there. I always meant to review the place because the outside, the part that isn't Trullis, and which looks a bit like a nuclear facility, so misrepresents the inside. It is a very large hotel but so well designed that you don't feel it. All the rooms for our tour were first rate, and had balconies looking over the landscape. The food was first rate, interesting, and the service good, particularly considering the number of people being served. A lot of people came there for dinner just because it was self-evidently good. I guess it might be expensive for individuals, but as we were within a tour, we were not aware of that nor did we feel we had a particularly restricted menu. They also catered for weddings in a different part of the hotel and which did not impinge at all on ones sleep etc. I can only speak for the part of the hotel we were in. The swimming pool was big and felt quite glorious given the heat. I remember it with fondness! Unless the place has changed hands I imagine it will be just as good.

“An excellent hotel with first class facilities”

We stayed here as the point of accommodation for a Page and Moy Holiday. The room (one with a balcony) was comfortable and spacious with very effective air conditioning. The public areas were equally good. The food was above average. Free wi fi access but it did not work well much away from the reception area.

The hotel is in the countryside, some way from the nearest town/village. A bookable shuttle service is available. We didn't use it (didn't need to due to nature of our P & M holiday) but the cost quoted seemed reasonable.

“Suoerior Rooms not worth it”

We paid extra for a superior room expecting to be given a Trulli. We were not. We were given a room at the end of the hotel overlooking the car park . The rooms on the top floor with a balcony were very good and the extra for the superior room was not worth it Ask for room even numbers only 252 to 282 and you will get a nice room with a balcony overlooking the garden.Rooms 200 to 234 also overlook the garden with a balcony. The other standard rooms do not have a balcony or overlook the garden. Superior rooms 290 295 240 245 overlook the car park and are not worth the extra as the basic rooms as above are very good. Hotel very nice good food and lots of weddings to ogle at!
