Adding to the chorus of praise for this wonderful hotel in Ischia:
- Coming from the US with a limited knowledge of Italian, Antonio was an excellent resource. He quickly responded to my emails in preparation of our departure and warmly welcomed us to the hotel when we arrived. He gave us insider tips and arranged for a number of activities - a trip to Negombo, boating around the island, restaurant recommendations, etc. It was like having our own personal guide.
- The hotel is located up a hill from Casamicciola Terme and we had a steep, but lovely, walk down and up each day. We loved it, but for those who are less athletically inclined there is also a couple of buses that run by the hotel. The ferry Antonio recommended (Snav from Beverello) took us straight to town, which made it easy to embark and, sadly, depart from Ischia.
- The view from our room was impeccable. We overlooked the bay and there is a nice deck at the top of the hotel with chaise lounges and a bar. Every morning I took my cappuccino on the patio outside our room - it was a perfect way to start the day. Breakfast at the hotel is continental, but there are lots of choices: warm pastries, cereals, yogurts, etc. The vibe at the hotel is relaxed so you can come and go to your table when you please.
- The room was a good value - we had a king size bed, satellite TV (great because the World Cup was on) and AC. The bathroom was a highlight - including a hair dryer, lots of hot water, and a nice shower.
We had great weather and so much fun during our stay on the island. Hotel Coralba was a key part of our experience, and I can't wait to return!
