My wife and I have just returned from our second trip to the Island of Ischia. Last time we stayed with family members in the community of Casamicciola Terme. This trip we decided we would stay at a hotel. We are so glad we chose the HOTEL CORALBA, also in the same town. The hotel is ownd and operated by Antonio Bernasconi, who took over from his uncle who previously ran this wonderful Pensione(small, family-run lodging), We would recommend this hotel to anyone lucky enough to travel tio the Island of Ischia. Antonio runs his hotel with a personal touch, helping his guests with everything from restaurant recommendations, tips on using the bus system or which local attractions to go to. He als speaks English(rare on Ischia) so for Americans looking for a new destination for thier next vacation, try the HOTEL CORALBA in Casamicciola on the Island of Ischia!!!

We selected this hotel for two reaons: 1) It appeared good value for money and 2) The excellent reviews listed here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up staying 6 because we liked it so much. The rooms are large, bright and spotlessly clean. When we first arrived we thought the location was a little far from the town center because the bus took a roundabout route. As it turned out there is a shortcut you can take on foot which will have you back in the town center in less than 10 minutes. It is uphill on the way back though but nothing too difficult. The thing however which made our experience so memorable was Antonio, the owner. He was the most helpful and accommodating host we have met on our travels so far. A lot of people here have mentioned that staying in the Coralba is like staying with family. We certainly felt that way by the time it came for us to leave. If ever the the term "the host with the most" were to apply it would apply to the Hotel Coralba. Besides the hotel ... Ischia is wonderful. Follow Antonio's advice and you won't go far wrong.

Hotel Coralba is run by Antonio and we would highly reccommend this hotel to anybody going to Ischia. The hotel was very clean and value for money. Our room had a lovely big balcony outside with lovely views and had sun beds and a table and chairs. This was our first trip to Italy and we were not disappointed. Antonio is extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Ischia is a lovely island and we would go back there.

Had a great time in Ischia and staying at hotel Coralba made it even better. It is a family run Hotel and Antonio is like your own personal travel advisor, Everyone we met was very helpful, friendly and funny and made our time at the Hotel a great laugh.

The hotel itself is dated but has all that you need for your stay. It is walking distance from the bus stop, with buses running every 15 mins, alternatively you can walk down to Cassomicola (Antonio would tell you about the short cut).

Breakfast was simple but tasty and we eat far to many croissants every morning!!

We loved Ischia as there is so much to do, the people are genuinely really friendly, the food great and Hotel Coralba a great place to stay.
