“Quite disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2010

To use a popular expression, in our room "you could not swing a cat!". Probably the pokiest room we have encountered on the Greek islands. The balcony was no better, the chairs and table fill up the whole space so that you can hardly move or close the door shatters. No privacy whatsoever as there is no partition and your neighbour is right next to you. Unfortunately the breakfast is also a con: just some bread with those terrible plastic jam jars plus a toastie with a thin slice of ham and cheese. Dried coffee and sugary orange juice complete the scene. These people are trying to make a purse out of a sow' s ear but sometimes just a sea-view does not make up for a pleasant stay. One last tip, if you are looking for a proper beach do not stay on Aghios Georgios but head for Aghios Prokopios where the sand is clear and does not stick to your feet...

“Real gem of a hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2010

This hotel is in a fantastic location right on St Georges beach, and most rooms have views of the beach and the bay which is great. It is a very quiet location with no traffic noise as it on a dead end little street.
The rooms were clean and fairly spacious with a fridge which is always very useful. The shutters made the room very dark so our sleep was very good!!
Great value for money when you take in to account the location, provision of breakfast etc.
Did not try breakfast but have heard it is good.
The only one downside of this hotel is that they did not come to the port to collect us from the ferry so we had to walk up through town, which as we have been before is not a problem but it may be difficult to find if you have never been to naxos before.

“Friendly, clean and in the perfect location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2010

We are staying up to four months per year at Palatia and are extremely happy here. The location directly on St Georges Beach and in five minutes walking distance to the centre of Naxos town is perfect. Families with kids will enjoy the shallow water in this little bay. From here you can start long walks to the gorgeous beaches of Prokopios, Agia Anna, etc. and you will be greeted friendly when returning to your comfortable and clean hotel. The whole property is beautifully decorated - but the most beautiful part remains the almost one-year old, adorable daughter Manolia of the owner. Family B from Germany

“Fantastic location and great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2009

We arrived in Naxos without a place to stay and simply asked a local the way to the closest beach. The walk to St. George beach from the Naxos port is only about 10 minutes. As soon as we arrived at the beach, we saw the Glaros Hotel and asked about availability. There was only one room with no view so we kept looking. Hotel Palatia is located next door and had a room available with a balcony and sea view. It was a great value at 40 euros - by far the least expensive place we stayed in Greece. The hotel was very clean, the staff super-friendly, and overall experience positive. The beach is more crowded than most other beaches we found, but it was fun and festive - and the water was perfect. There's a great windsurfing beach and school just a short walk down the beach.

“Perfect location and excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2009

We visited Naxos Island beginning of September and really loved it. The hotel Palatia is a very clean and comfortable hotel. It has excellent value for money and the staff is so helpful! The location is perfect, near Naxos town main beach and close to the center. We loved our balconey, I would recommend it at 100%!
