We stepped off the ferry and were met by the owner and his van who took us to the hotel (I don't even think we pre-arranged this). The hotel was a typical greek white building with a central court yard, the room was very private with a great shower, a decent sized kitchenette, a small balcony with drying rack for beach towels. There was a store 2 minutes walk away for supplies.

This place was great value, mostly due to the fact that the owner gave his recommendations for some villages to tour...so we rented scooters and headed over land where there were very few tourists, had a lovely lunch and were able to to experience the true essence of Naxos. He also told us where the best beaches were and what his favourite restaurants were in town. He was honest, didn't recommend places that were his friends etc as some do.

I would highly recommend Margo Studios to other travellers. It is about a 5 minute walk into town (I have read some reviews saying this is a drawback) but I honestly think it would be a lot easier to get your suitcases to Margo Studios than staying in the old town where there is no vehicle access, the walk would be no problem for the majority of people.

Wonderful location, very close to the centre and the port and right next to the bus stop. We spent 4 nights in a beautiful room with spacious balcony, personnel was always there to help us, very clean also. Margo Studios made our stay in Naxos very easy, would visit again.

Lovely room about 5 mins walk from centre of Naxos town. Great balcony, nice building, comfortable room, peaceful location.

The owners mother was amazing, made us drinks when we arrived from the ferry and let us leave our luggage in the reception area and also get changed before departing in the evening - hours after we checked out.

The only quibble is that we were supposed to be met from the port, but probably due to our ferry being late this didnt happen. However the 'how to get there' instructions given were so detailed we didnt get lost, plus as it was only a 5 min walk, so in the end this didnt matter too much.

I would highly recomend this hotel.

Wow, what a beautiful stay we had in Margo Studios, we will surely come back!
Location 10 minutes walk to the town, free transport from and to the port, bus stop directly in front of the hostel and goes to a lot of beaches which are really great, especially Plaka.
The hosts tell us about all the things we must see and are really nice. Free wii fi is the fastest we used in our entire trip and there's a PC available at the reception. Everything is clean and beautiful. Only negative point, the water goes out the shower and the bathroom floor might be wet when you go out.
