We stayed at the Sofi the 3 days we were in Naxos Town and found it satisfying in almost every way. It's within walking distance of the ferry and bus stations, although the friendly owners will be glad to pick you up at the beginning of your stay and drop you off at the end. The impressive Venetian castle is also within walking distance, but ask for directions ahead of time. The city "beach" is rocky and uninviting, but it's a short bus ride to the magnificent Agios Prokopios beach. No breakfast on site, but the owners can direct you to small restaurants nearby.

My partner and I stayed in Pension Sofi for a little over a week in September. We had originally planned to stay in one of the villages for a couple of night but we felt so comfortable in our room at Pension Sofi we decided to stay on.

Rena and Theo met us from the ferry though we arrived very late and gave us some food and drinks and advice on places to go in Naxos. Being reserved Brits we didn't "bother" them too much during our stay, but I'm sure if we needed anything they would have been happy to help. They were very kind without intruding and offered us some drinks and things to eat, including some really lovely cheese, wine and the best tomatoes from Rena's father Panos, who was also very kind.

The room was comfortable, very clean and prettily decorated. There was a nice balcony to sit out on, where we would sometimes have lunch or dinner (there's a great little shop on the way up to Pension Sofi). It really felt like home for a week and we were sad to leave. If we go back to Naxos I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

I stayed at Pension Sofi for one week with my mum, who is a return visitor to Naxos. She has stayed at Pension Sofi four times now, and i can see why. The hotel is close to the port, bus station and town, and when you arrive you are greeted off the ferry by the kind, friendly family who run it. The rooms are decorated beautifully, and are very cosy and traditional. The view from our room was of the back of the Castro and the old town, and I immediately felt relaxed and at home. Every morning we were greeted with amazing hospitality, offered coffee and cake, and made to feel very welcome indeed. I would certainly recommend Pension Sofi for anyone wanting to visit the beautiful island of Naxos, due to it's ideal location, wonderful, kind hospitality, and clean, comfortable rooms. A fantastic hotel.

the location of the b&b is quite near the port with clean and cozy room. The host is very friendly and makes us like at home!!
