Our initial intention was to stay for a couple of nights but stayed for 10. Our room was very clean and had two balconies. Irini was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location as we got a feeling of being in a real Greek neighbourhood and it was just a 10 minute walk into Naxos City. Good stores and car rentals are all very close as well as the beach. We hope to return in the near future. For a reasonably priced and comfortable hotel I would highly recommend the Irini Studios.

My wife, our 18m old son and I, spent the last two weeks of July at Irini Studios. The rooms are situated at Agia Anna, near (3min walk) one of the best beaches of the island. The rooms are in very good condition and have TV, refrigerator, sink and hot plate. The room was cleaned every other day but when we needed an extra clean up and change of sheets, since our son had made a mess, it was done. Irini herself, and the rest of her family , were very friendly and she provided us during our stay with eggs, melons, water melons and tomatoes which they produce, for our son. Nearby you can find two mini markets (in one you can also find domestic and foreign press) . And last but not least nearby you can find the Gorgona taverna which serves really great food at very reasonable prices.

In July of 2008 we booked with Irini Studios to get a Sea-View room that was close to the beach at a reasonable cost.

That was not what we received!! Story below:

Upon arriving, there was no main entrance so we stood in the drive for a moment. Suddenly a lady showed up in her car and said "come - new hotel - this hotel full". You can imagine our surprise and uncertainty about who this lady was or what had happened to our booking!!

With her broken English we had no idea where she was going to take us, but she insisted Irini was full and that she would put us in a different hotel.

She took us to her second hotel, a new place in a nearby area on the beach of Prokopios.

They seemed to think this was all very normal and since the new place was nice, it was hard to complain. But it was in a slightly different area and our room did NOT have a sea view!

The oddness continued when they took our passports (to ensure we'd pay later) and when we went to check out, they insisted on cash only because this was their 'new hotel' and wasn't setup for cards.

Irini's son was even waiting to drive me to the cash point on his scooter!

Luckily we were checking out early and well in advance of our ferry, but if it had been last minute, it could have been a real disaster as there is a cash withdraw limit on most debit cards and we could have missed our ferry!!

I asked for a receipt which they hand wrote with the wrong amount, but so be it...

Lastly, their website is very good but claims things like free transfers which were not provided and they did not respond to emails asking questions about our booking and transfers.

Luckily we had a great holiday and the new hotel was great - but when you pay for one thing (after months of holiday hunting) and get something else upon arrival, it adds a level of stress!!

Their laid back attitude is great to set the holiday mood, but it's really bad when they just ship you between hotels and demand cash only on check out!!!

- directly beside petrol station
- having a pool meant family bookings and the kids voices echoed loudly through the corridors in the early morning
- thin walls (kids banging, that sort of thing - couldn't hear conversations)
- on main road
- some rooms have view directly onto petrol station

Was very happy with this Studio. It was not luxury, but it was comfortable and clean and very practical with the kitchenette. The balcony was great for breakfast in the morning!

The Studio is about 2 Minutes from Agia Anna Beach. Busses stop nearby. There is a store nearby. You can also rent transportation. The beach is great.

Try the horseback riding at Stamatis nearby.

Owner very friendly. Room cleaned every two days.

I'd go back!
