I tried to contact Antony studios during the winter to reserve our stay in July. It took quite a few tries and a few weeks before I received a reply. However, I found this to be the case in most of the places I tried to contact. It seems the smaller hotels close for the winter and it was no different for Antony Studios.

It is located 500 meters from the main town and 1000 meters from the sea port. It is an easy walk to restaurants and shops but does not have a sea view although it is only 50 meters from the beach. This part of town is much quieter than the main Chora but still has plenty of restaurants and small markets close by.

When we arrived, the owner Petros was not available. However he has a staff woman who does not speak English and she was present to let us into our room. Antony Apartments is in a separate building around the corner from Antony Studios where the main office is located. Our newly renovated room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good A/C. I read in previous reviews that our bedding would not be changed so I was not expecting it. The towels were changed daily but garbage removal and sweeping were left up to us. A full size fridge, stove/oven, and washing machine was in our apartment and the kitchen was minimally stocked with a few utensils and enough plates, cups for 4. The internet was not working and no one was available to instruct us on how to work the appliances. Breakfast is not included but there are a few small markets close by that have fresh bread, fruit and other supplies.

We finally Petros on the second day. He was very helpful and fixed our Wi-Fi connection and offered suggestions on activities and restaurants. We had a late departure flight and check out was at noon so Petros stored our luggage and provided access to washrooms/showers before our departure. He even drove us to the airport.

Overall our stay at Antony Studios/Apartments was alright. I give it a solid 3.5 stars. Petros and his staff woman were very helpful and caring…whenever they could be found. For most of the time we had to fend for ourselves. So if you’re OK with being independent, Antony Studios/Apartments is a clean, quiet and conveniently located accommodation at a reasonable cost.

Nice big room, with a wonderful balcony, about 30 meters from the beach. If I ever go back to Naxos, this will be my first choice of where to stay.

We stayed in one of Antony's Studios for three nights in June, and wished we had longer. The location is great - on the other side of the town to the ferry port but only about a 10 minute walk, and while all of Naxos town is relatively touristy, this side of town has a bit more relaxed local charm about it, and a bit quieter at night. The very calm beach is a few mere meters away (so you don't miss the presence of a pool!) and there are plenty of great cafes and restaurants (and people!) right the way along the beach, and you are only 5 minutes walk from the busy main tourist strip. Make sure you hire a quad bike and take a little tour of the other beaches too - Naxos has some really secluded, beautiful beaches.

The hosts were really friendly when we arrived, and as we were the first guests to arrive we had a choice of rooms! All the studios looked great, but we chose the one on the very top floor. It was really tastefully furnished, light-filled and spacious. There was a little kitchenette, airconditioning, free wifi, and a nice balcony with an umberella and table/chairs to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. The bathroom was fine, the shower curtain and shower head could do with an update, but it was functional and pretty clean. Everything had been thought of, and you could tell the owners care about the comfort of their guests.

Overall a really enjoyable (and affordable!) stay. You wont regret staying here.

It's not a 5-star hotel but it has everything you could ask for and you cannot beat the price!

We arrived late and yet were shown 3 rooms to choose from.
We were also provided with a large bottle of water!
The room had the standard amenities including a little cooking area , A/C, and a very decent size bathroom!
Everything seemed new and clean.
We also had a balcony overlooking a pathway to the beach.
Good location. A bit of a walk to the port but the taxi ride only cost us 7-10 euros.
Highly recommended!
