Poseidon Hotel is very handily situated, about five minutes (if that) from the beach and about ten from the harbour. The location means it's not too noisy.

Rooms are of a decent size, clean, and many have a nice view as well. There is a simple breakfast buffet and the owner is always helpful - I had visited about two years before and he recognised me, perhaps on the strength of my not-very-good Greek. They'll pick you up from the ferry as well.

Overall I'd certainly recommend this hotel to someone who wants somewhere relatively simple and inexpensive but doesn't want to be ripped off or given a substandard room.

I visit Naxos at least every other year in late May/early June and can highly recommend the Poseidon. Very clean, reasonable rates, friendly staff, TV(Greek stations), AC, great bathroom/WC, same day laundry service, small coffee bar onsite, in a good location on the road down to the city beach in an area surrounded by restaurants, near a neighborhood grocery store. I use the Poseidon as a backup if I can't get into the Coronis, and on 3 or 4 stays over the years have no complaints.

After a bad experience with a terrible hotel on Naxos we switched to Hotel Poseidon. A small, clean and very well run hotel, with nice rooms, a jacuzzi/spa/relaxing room in the basement and about 150 meters to the beach (st. Georges). Perfectly stiuated both for access to the beach and cløose to Naxos center for evening meals e.g. I can recomend this hotel for both it's atmosphere, it's service minded staff and prices. Absoulutely value for money
