Apollon is a good hotel on a nice, quiet spot. Near the port and the old town. You can have a lovely swim near the harbour, at the bottom of the temple of Apollo. The sandy beach is a bit far but that's in an very busy and touristic area.
The rooms are nice, clean, cleaned every day.
The staff, speak English very well, is friendly, interested and helpful. The included breakfast is good and served also on the terrace. We were with 6 persons, rent 3 rooms and every body was enthousiastic about the hotel.

We found this hotel by going to a travel agency as we got off the ferry. We were given a reduced rate and a young man swiftly escorted us over to the hotel. The room was spacious, and bright, with a balcony overlooking the parking lot/road, but it was charming, as we faced a row of residences. Breakfast was not included in our rate, so can't comment. It was a short walk to the ocean, about a half block, very rocky and not for swimming.

We enjoyed walking in the town at night, and found this to be a convenient location.

We were a bit surprised by the location of the Apollon. It was tucked off in the corner of town next to an empty lot. Definitely within walking distance of the port but just kind of in a dark corner of town.

The place was clean but it certainly had sparse and basic amenities. The room was basic and was probably the darkest room we stayed in.

We came in on a very late ferry and there was someone there to check us in. The next day we met the owner, Despina, who was gracious and friendly, giving us a shot of one her liquors on the way out.

The hotel is in a good location for the cafes in Naxos but about a 20 minute walk to the good beach. The hotel is out dated and the rooms are basic. The bed was like a rock and the toilet started to overflow so we only stayed one night. The information bureau will push this hotel when you enquire about accommodation.
