The room was exceptionally nice, updated furniture and a very comfortable bed. The location is 1 minute from the main gate at Ft. Eustis. Breakfast was better than average, which is a good thing, as any eateries are a couple of miles away. There was no gym (you could use the gym at the adjoining property, but it was very outdated). The staff was very attentive during my stay. I would definetely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located close to all the historic locations as well as Busch Gardens and Water Country. It did have a great price for a suite during the week of the 4th. But I was not impressed with the kitchen area. It was about the size of a wet bar with a burner. It has a small frig. and a little bigger sink than is in some wet bars with no conter room besides the sink and burners. The room itself is nice. The bathroom is almost claustraphobic. Their is a laundry area, a nice selecion of breakfast items that are kept supplied. Their is a pool for your use at the hotel next door. Very nice front desk and maid service that helped us take care of our linen needs when our son had a nose bleed.

This hotel has alot of potential but don't stay here when there is a bus or a two outside! I stayed here with family while traveling to Jamestown and we checked in only to find a BUS filled with teenage boys attending a BASKETBALL tournament at the same time staying in the hotel. They were running amuck in the hotel until I complained to security about it. They had their hands full stopping the boys from banging around in their rooms at all hours of the night. Things finally quieted down.

The room was clean and nice but the breakfast was chaos in the morning. Don't plan on eating in the breakfast nook--it is too small and too crowded--taked your food back to your room or else.

For anyone who has to do business at Fort Eustis, the Holiday Inn Express is convenient and priced fairly. It's practically right at the gate to the base. The location is also very close to Williamsburg.

The room was clean and attractive, although I agree with the previous poster who said that the shower controls were difficult to work. The continental breakfast featured fresh doughnuts, fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and so forth. It was fine for a quite bite before heading out to work.
