Stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on route to friends near Melle. I booked this hotel through the Ibis website which is very easy to use. We were looking for a budget hotel just to get some rest on the journey through France.
The hotel is situated on the ring road around Rennes. A bit of a convaluted route to find it but my Sat Nav took us straight there no problem.
This hotel is a modern building located on a large industrial area on the outskirts of the city. I suspect that most (out of city)Ibis hotels fall into this category.
On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young man at reception who fortunately spoke perfect English, as my French is not that good, this was most welcome. The room was very good, spacious with a desk and chair, wall lights, TV, air con and a superb bathroom. It was spotlessly clean.
We had an excellent buffet breakfast consisting of croisants, pan o chocolates, breads of various descriptions, cold meats and cheeses, cereals etc etc. This cost eight Euros each.
We paid forty Euros for the room plus our breakfast.
I would certainly reccomend this hotel for a short stopover. It,s location meant that if it would not be ideal if you were visiting Rennes but is an ideal stopover if travelling on, as it is handy to pick up signs for all other directions.
