From the moment we arrived till we departed 5 days later, the entire hotel staff gave us a warm welcome and were always exceptionally pleasant and willing to accommodate our needs.

Our stay was made more enjoyable by the help from Sophie who spoke both English and French and was just wonderful in assisting us with local tour suggestions, made a hairdresser appointment for us in Sarlat and provided food and wine translations in the restaurant.

The spacious, clean and comfortable room and adjoining ‘modern’ bathroom were immaculate and had ‘stunning’ views from both areas over the Dordogne valley. Combined with free Wi-Fi in our room and free car parking adjoining the hotel, what more would you want?

Both the ground floor meals area and separate elegant French style restaurant overlooked the valley and provided magnificent views at breakfasts and for that romantic occasion in the restaurant at night. Speaking of the restaurant, the menu was of an exceptional high quality, excellent wines, food was delicious and the desserts to die for!

Simply a great hotel within the charm of Domme - Highly recommend. More importantly, we would stay there again, we loved Domme and L'Esplanade.

The owners and staff all treat you as if you are the only patrons at the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The food is fantastic and the chef is our hero! We got lost arriving the hotel after hours and the owner drove to us in the next town and had us follow him back to the hotel to avoid any more wrong turns. Thank you team for a fabulous time in Domme with your wonderful suggestions of what to see and do.

We had a wonderful stay at L'Esplanade. We knew that the view would be spectacular but we found that the hotel, the food and the staff were just as good as the view. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was delightful and we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy dinner on the terrace. We found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming.
We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Absolutely breathtaking views from the terrace. Rooms are lovely and overall a wonderfull stay. Breakfast was the standard continental. Loved the fact that the few tables on the terrace (overlooking the entire valley) is for hotel guests only.
