Forget the cynics about Durbuy...."too touristy". Baloney. This is set in a beautiful wooded valley with a beautiful small river. It is a cobblestoned, castled gem of a place. Tell the hundreds of europeans who crowd it during the day. Multiple good hotels and restaurants, you can walk around this small town and breathe in the air and woodsmoke for hours. Plenty of outdoor activities. I've been to Durbuy 4 times and love it. The hotel is extremely well done, I guess in a building that is hundreds of years old. Very tastefully renovated. Small but very clean and stylish room, I do not care about amenities beyond room & location, so I generally could care less if there's internet or a pool. You'll have to check out the website to find out. BUt the location is lovely, the town is lovely, and I HIGHLY recommend walking around at dusk or night, especially if you like photography. Many good restaurants (we ate at Vieux Pont, but I've eaten at Le Sanglier des Ardennes also, and it was ****). I'd have no second thoughts about going to Les Recollets. Breakfast was typical and very good. Staff spoke adequate english.
