I was hesitant to book this hotel because of the bad reviews I had read on the internet. So we decided to just drive to Durbuy and book whichever hotel is available, but would ask to look at the room first.

Cote Cour was the first hotel we checked out when we arrived and it looked decent and clean to us so we checked in. Once in there, we discovered that it was better than our first impression, and certainly better than the touristy hotel we stayed before which was a couple of doors away.

Cote Cour had a tiny lobby with an air well with sky light which made it bright and cheery. The provencal yellows and greens and bright curtains made the whole place warm and welcoming. Most of all we like the wooden floors and the double bed (instead of 2 single beds put tgether) and the room was spacious.

The bathroom was a good size and spotless and there was hot water with a powerful shower.

The rooms were not set up like a motel in one straight corridor. It was tucked away at different levels and there were nooks and corners and that really made it charming. Some rooms had windows that opened into the air well and the light from the air well made everything bright.

Breakfast is served in the charming restaurant which has been done up in good taste. It was a typical Belgian breakfast with cold cuts and boiled eggs, and nicely presented on a round table in a cheery side room. We would love a hot English breakfast but accept that that is not the norm here in Belgian. The coffee was great and was freshly made from the bar when ordered.

The added advantage was we could get free wifi in our room which meant I could work during my stay there. I don't think there is wifi in every room but I am sure you could get it if you brought your notebook to the lobby.

As usual when we are in Durbuy, we parked for free in a parking lot a couple of hundred metres from the main square.

Reading the other reviews I wonder if we are talking about the same hotel.

We like Cote Cour so much we are planning to go back there soon.

We stayed several nights at this hotel in Durbuy in the Belgian Ardennes. There was ample space in our "Grande Suite" for 4 people. The room was dirty and the bed for our 2 kids was awful. There was a small stove but nothing to even heat up water. We even has to ask for 2 extra cups for the bathroom sink.
The breakfast buffet was okay but don't expect anything beyond the rolls with ham or cheese, croissants with some preserves and the occasional yoghurt.
We did not eat any other meals at this hotel.
Beware that parking almost anywhere in town comes at the hefty price of 6 euros per day or 1 euro for one hour. It gets pricey when the hotel has no parking for guests available (at least none was available).
We also noticed that people freely bring pets in their rooms, which is especially unappealing considering how dirty the floors were.
Durbuy is the typical tourist trap with lovely surroundings. I would recommend finding some lodging in an nearby town away from all the tourist hype and enjoying the ardennes. There are many trails but also a lot of walking on narrow roads without sidewalks. Belgian drivers barely slow down near pedestrians and walking on the road feels very unsafe.
