“A little gem in Maldegem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

What a lovely little place. This is a neat, clean, and very well run little family hotel in an ideal location for anyone visiting Brugge, Ghent or the Schelde coast of Zeeland. It took a little effort to work out how to get into the hotel, as it's located on a large (but not very busy) road, however it's so well set back from the traffic that your peace and quiet is assured. The room was spaceous, modern and comfortable and seemed to have been decorated quite recently and very tastefully. The bathroom was luxurious and well appointed. Overall, the living accomodation was spotless. The welcome we received from the landlord was very friendly and efficient, and even our joking about being allocated Room 101 (he hadn't read any Orwell), didn't phaze his good nature. Happily, Room 101 was lovely, and harboured no nightmares or bad experiences at all for us. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the provision of two large single quilts rather than one large kingsize one was an unusual but clever touch, if like us you spend much of your night's sleep struggling to keep some control over your share of the bedclothes. Our request for a couple of extra pillows was fulfilled quickly and without fuss. Breakfast in the large dining room was of a good quality and offered a wide range of options. Altogether, a very pleasant experience, and exceptional value for money. Thanks, and keep up the good work guys, we will be back.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the car parking area, and was very quiet.

“What a wonderful find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2011

We travelled through Europe by car booking stop overs just a few days in advance. Using trip advisor reviews of course. This small family run hotel was wonderful. Immaculately clean with the most comfortable bed, modern and new quality furnishings. The hotel is situated 7km from Bruges on a straight road so you can't get lost driving in and the town itself was a delight to visit.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed equally good as very new.

“Friendly Spotlessley Clean Hotel - Good Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2010

We have just come back from a two night stay at this hotel, it is on the edge of the town of Maldegem near Bruges. It is about 15km to Bruges from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and spotlessley clean. The rooms look as though they are new and are equipped with flat screen TV, and internet point and tastefully decorated bathrooms and rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful and speak English. Good value for the money and the breakfast which is 7.50 Euro pp is also good, the breakfast room is spacious and well decorated. You can order room service for various items if you wish.
I would have liked to be able to make tea or coffe in the room as well, but this is just a thought but not a criticism as this was never advertised.
The hotel also has ample free parking.

“Best value for money, home away from home! Perfect for europe road trips!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

We suppose to stay at this hotel one night only and then head off to Holland... We did, but we came back to Belgium just to stay at this hotel again!

The rooms are perfectly clean, cosy and the bed is extremely comfortable! The hotel is located on a quite area just 10 minutes drive from Bruges, the way to Bruges is extremely easy to find and get there!

If you plan to visit Bruges, this is the best place! 10 mins drive and then you can leave your car at a car park in Bruges for only 2.50 euros a day... perfect!

Free ultra fast internet, great toilets with bath and a fantastic breakfast.. family owned place, we were really happy with this hotel, recommended to all my friends and family!

This is the first time that I wrote a review about a hotel, that is because I am really happy!
