“excellent food & in a pretty location”

Pros
- excellent food
- nice spa/pool area
- views over the waterfall
Cons
- located next to the church -the bells at 7 am would wake the dead!
- recption staff poor English (better than my German!)
- bedrooms very hot-even with the window open

As a ski destination- the resort did not cater for the beginner and the village is very steep in parts- but a very pretty ski resort .

We enjoyed our stay and would return.

“not ok if you are routed in Residence building”

Sanotel hotel in Bad Gastein is composed from 2 separate establishments, one main with all 4 stars requiered appliances, and another wich is just an accomodation with no pool, bar, restaurant, so if you are planing to go to sauna or swiming pool a small trip from secondary location to main is requiered (approx 200m on the city streets). Also hotel does not have its own parking space.

Good thing is that rooms are clean and meal decent.

Liked — Cleaningness of rooms
Disliked — lack of english knolege from staff, food, service
