Clean hotel, friendly staff, nice spa area plus good food and service.
The best ski hotel we have stayed in and puts french hotels to shame.
We stayed in the main hotel and could imagine the annex is a bit of a drag.
The hotel provides a return ski shuttle taxi to the gondola which given it was half term worked very well.
We skied to Bad Hofgastein and used the free ski bus service to get to Sport Gastein and Dorfgastein which made for a good weeks skiing.

View of the hotel rooms are fantastic, overlooking the waterfall cascades in the Bad Gastein main valley. Half-hourly hotel shuttle to and from the ski lifts/gondolas is excellent. Makes its extremely convenient for ski guests with literally ZERO WALKING from hotel to the foot of the ski lift/gondola center. Quality of breakfast and dinner (half board) is good. Being a 4-star hotel, cleanliness is a given. Room furniture are well maintained (new actually) and good carpets in room. Hotel staff are generally friendly and available to answer any questions. While there has been hiccups during my trip but the hotel staff (and management) are generally positively focused and quick in resolving issues or other problems that may arise. My stay here was not problem-free (I had to change room once during my 7 night stay here as it appears they overbooked themselves) but what impressed me was their willingness and flexibility in working out suitable solutions for their guests.

Stayed it the Sanotel for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Where is lots to do in Bad Gastien, and the hotel is a great base. Right in the center. Pity it was summer and not winter. I'd say its great fun in the snow.
The room was very nice. Great shower, Comfortable bed, mini bar, wireless internet, balcony with a great view, and a local newspaper every morning.
The staff are great, especially Kristina on reception. A real gem. The Restaurant staff are also pleasant. Food is also good.
I will def go back.

- located next to the church -the bells at 7 am would wake the dead!
- recption staff poor English (better than my German!)
- bedrooms very hot-even with the window open

As a ski destination- the resort did not cater for the beginner and the village is very steep in parts- but a very pretty ski resort .

We enjoyed our stay and would return.
