A nice, newly renovated hotel with very basic (but comfortable and with style decorated) rooms (with a magnificent view if you have the panorama room - it's worth it) and bathroom. The spa is great, haven't tried the roman spa, but the dry sauna and the resting area is great. the staff is very friendly. However, they do not provide enough parking lots for all the guests.

Great hotel, just re-opened.
We've been there for a week of skiing.
The rooms are excellent. Beds are great.
Food is nicely prepared. International dishes (mainly French and Italian). If you expect Austrian wursts and schnitzels you will be disappointed. We weren't :)
Loved about it:
- the rooms
- the food
- the view
- the hotel bar
- the staff
They could improve:
- the spa (a bit small, especially on crowded weeks)
- the ski transfer schedule (first bus leaves only at 9.15. If you want to ski in Angertal earlier than 10.00 than you have to drive yourself to the slope)
Did not like so much and there is nothing the hotel can do about it:
- getting into the centre of Bad Gastein will take you a good 10-15 minutes walk. Not very encouraging for an "apres-ski" party. But if you are in a larger group I warmly recommend the hotel bar. As we were leaving, the owner were builiding a snow bar too. I hope to enjoy it on our next trip.
- no swimming pool.
