Koh Chang Island is a great Island a little over developed i expect, but you can still find some incredable places.

We stayed in a resort called Privillege which we believed was in Kai Bai. However on arrival we found this was not the case it was some 10 miles outside. We booked the accomodation on kohchang website so i dont particularly blame the resort as it seems the tourist website was wrong.

Best advice is to book one night some where cheap and just spend some time looking round when you get there i also strongly suspect we paid well over the odds for what we got and negotiations would be easier in person.

The resort i beleive will be quite nice "once finished" it seems quite small with only half the area complete. Next door a larger resort is also being built so i would certainly avoid this one for a few months yet.

The beach was pebbles not sand. Most of the island is sandy so it seems a strange place to build a resort.

Basically what i am saying is ignoring my problems on booking the resort, i still would not advise people staying here as there are so many better and cheaper resorts all over the island. However I would recommend people visit the Island.

Also avoid the Elephant trek as it is not particularly pleasant your behind also the scenery is basically tonnes of elephant bab. Just to cap it all the guide seemed a little to free with the sticks for my liking.
