we had a superior room if you can book bungalows, a nice small resort right on the beach.
plenty of lounge chairs around the pool. breakfast was buffet. just outside the resort is a mini market and lots and lots of good restaurants. try to pick another month as it rained alot. it came down in buckets. be careful with some of the resorts in white sand because they are up the hill from this resort, you have to be mountian goat some hotels have has about 200 stairs going down to the beach. dont eat at the mexican restaurant is was awful.

I scoured websites looking for the perfect place to plop on Koh Chang and happily discovered Banpu, on White Sands Beach. My husband and I stayed in a beach bungalow, and enjoyed our stay at this beautiful resort. Unlike other nearby resorts, this place is very intimate -- not too many rooms, and the clientele is quiet. Best of all, it is located in the middle of the beach where all White Sand Beach BBQs are held in the evening, so you can walk to them, but it is cordoned off so it feels like you are on a private beach. The breakfast is wonderful -- eggs & waffles made to order, fresh fruit, yogurt and some Thai specialties. Book in advance on agoda,com, a service of priceline. We got a beach bungalow for $95 a night.
