“A Jewel in the mountains”

We had a wonderful few days here. Wonderful hosts, fantastic homemade meals using local ingredience, wonderful scenery including a number of walks to temples and waterfalls, very comfortable beds in individual huts sleeping two. Rishikesh Valley is close to the Ganga and a number of attractive towns. Rishikesh Valley is a really beautiful place to stay. Whether you are wanting a break from the pressures of travelling in India, are into wildlife (around 60 varieties of birds, red face and black face monkeys) or are wanting to stay close to the Ganga this is highly recommended. And the hosts are very accomodating, helpful and informative. Try to arrive during the day or make sure the directions to get here are clear.

“Peaceful Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

A wonderful respite from all the noise, traffic and pollution of Delhi! Well worth the trip up the Valley from Rishikesh. Anand and Subudhi were welcoming and gracious hosts and they lovingly nursed me back to health after a bout of "Delhi Belly" with their wonderful ayurvedic inspired food. Anand led us in yoga classes and I had time to relax and look at the mountains and the river. The huts are rustic with only cold running water (very clean and a flush toilet) but the bed is very comfortable and I was plenty warm at night. Thank you for making my last few days in India so comfortable!

“Lovely setting, beautiful resort, great food - perfect for a relaxed weekend getaway”

We (a group of six friends) spent a night at the Rishikesh Valley resort, and left feeling bad that we couldn't stay longer. To enjoy the resort to the fullest, one must spend at least two days there.

To reach the resort, one has to take a cut 4 kms from Lakshman Jhula on the right, cross a bridge, take left, and then move 6 more kms. The road leaves the Ganga and enters a new valley through which a tributary of the Ganga runs. A sign on the left welcomes you to Rishikesh Valley resort. Cars/ bikes have to be parked on the side of the road from where it is a 2 minute downward walk to the resort.

Set in a garden type setting with a mud path in the middle and 9 cottages made of bamboo on either side, the rustic feeling of the place is its USP. Lovely flowers and plants give the place a very calming effect. There is an outdoor dining area, a very cheery sitting area and place for bonfire. There's also a badminton net, a hammock and a machan which we especially loved. The resort is surrounded with fields and one can hear the river gushing in the distance.

The cottages themselves are basic but very comfortable with brightly coloured interiors and an attached bathroom. Though the place is vegetarian, the food is beyond awesome and the tea is so good that we must have drowned at least 5 cups per head during our short stay there.

The resort's calm and serene atmosphere together with Anand and Subudhi's great hospitality make a repeat visit a must.

“For our upcoming kid - We share lots of moments in the lap of the nature in Rishikesh Valley”

Rishikesh Valley is a really beautiful place to stay very near to Rishikesh. And the owner family of Rishikesh Valley Mr. Anand, Subudhi including their Mother and Father know the real meaning of hospitality. Best part of the place is food (vegetrain) cocked by their cocks. Location is awesome surrounded by Ganga River, Mountains & 2 Water-Falls. We (Ankur & Asma) wish wishes to Anand and Subudhi and love to little doll Adhaya. I was our wonderful stay there.

Room Tip: Just any of them.
