We have returned six times to this wonderful place. A fabulous location and as we had the suite with the balcony overlooking the beach it is hard to better. The service from the obliging staff was absolutely wonderful. Breakfast on the terrace, lunch too if desired and dinner in the relatively simple dining room. We loved the boat trip along the lagoon to see the thousands of migratory birds - binoculars are a must. Kite surfers enjoyed skimming across the lagoon - the surfing school is just nearby. The food is very nicely prepared and carefully served and there is a good wine list. Too cold to swim in February, never-the-less a great place to walk for miles along the beach past the fishing boats drawn up on to the beach and men mending their nets or selling freshly barbecued seafood. The village has a weekly Saturday souk/ market which is really interesting. Also there are craftsmen and women working if you look around the village. A doctor and pharmacies and local grocery stores and of course a barber. Other hotels may be fancier but lack personality and often are stranded away from water at low tide. This is set in gorgeous gardens and has the 12 steps straight down onto the beach and you can swim in the tidal lagoon. Great for parents and children too. We love it! Don't miss the local hammam!
