I stayed one night at the Jameson Inn with my family. The check-in was smooth and the people were very nice. We had four people in our room and the room was stocked with 3 sets of wash cloths and towels. I asked at the front dest for another wash cloth and towel and was told "we are all out, there aren't even any dirty ones that I could wash for you". I was given two wash cloths and two hand towels to use instead. The complimentary breakfast was essentially a carb-lovers buffet, nothing fancy.

We went to the race on Sunday in Martinsville, VA, and I was pleasantly surprised that there were rooms available in the town, and at a decent price. When we checked in, there was one girl working at the front desk and I am happy I walked in when I did, because about 10 minutes later the poor girl was slammed with customers. She was really upbeat about it though, and even took a minute to talk to me about the race and whether my driver won. She was great!
I was a little hesitant about the room because of different reviews, but they were geat. We had asked for a smoking room, but they were all booked, so we got a non-smoking room. The room and the hallways smelled like they had just been painted and it was REALLY quiet...nice.
Now, they have a breakfast "buffet" but it was just make your own waffles (which are good), oatmeal, sausage gravy (I didn't see any biscuits) and some toast. If you're hungry in the morning, I suggest the 5 minute drive to Biscuitville. AWESOME!!! When we checked out it was SUPER easy and the guy at the desk was really friendly (he called me ma'am) and no hassles. Next spring and fall, if this hotel is available I am DEFINITELY going to stay here!! Loved it!!

I was skeptical given other reviews I read and did not know what to expect. The hotel seems to have been renovated because everything seemed fresh and was very nice. Not a huge room, but nicely appointed. Nice staff. I definitely recommend!

I know that Martinsville VA has been hit hard but so has this hotel. It's rooms are all smoked in and the furniture is worn. I will try a different place next time I go.
