We stayed at this hotel for one night while attending an event at Washington & Lee. We checked in and were given room 110. Normally I ask for a room on a high floor away from the elevator and this room was on the first floor very near the elevator. We checked the room before getting our luggage from the car and found it to spacious and overall very clean. The beds were comfortable and the fridge and microwave were useful even for our short stay. The bathroom had an actual exhaust fan which is something that a number of chain hotels are missing. The only things that I saw that needed extra cleaning were detailed things like the tops of the bathroom sconces needed to be dusted, the exhausted fan grill needed cleaning, the top of the furniture holding the TV and applicances needed to be dusted, etc.. For the price I paid for the room I can overlook these things because as I said, overall it was very clean. The breakfast area was large, had good flow for the guests and a variety of food including make it yourself waffles, fruit (including bananas!), muffins, cereal, oatmeal, grits, donuts, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, etc. They also keep coffee and items for making tea in the lobby during non breakfast hours. The pool looked well maintained though we didn't use it. We were very pleased with our stay. However, if you looking to sleep late I wouldn't suggest room 110. It was very quiet during the evening but in the morning I awoke early to noise from the elevator, breakfast guests, housekeeping, etc. Our stay here was great and we were very pleased especially for the price. Will stay there again on our next Lexington trip.
