While traveling from Florida back home to upper NY. i called my daughter .and ask her to find a hotel.She called ahead for us and made reservations.Immediately acknowledged by personal at front desk.This lady was very friendly.The room was very clean.The breakfast was very good with a big selection.MY wife and i will make this our stop as we travel .Location of hotel is on a big hill or mountain over looking a valley.With benches over looking the valley.Very nice area.Nice get away for couples.Would like to go there again for a get away just to see what is in the area.The price was very reasonable.plus they have a rewards program.It was late when we got there and we were hungry. We were told about a restaurant just down the road who served an awesome burger.ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IVE STAYED AT.

Wonderful clean facilities, delicious hot breakfast, and quiet environment; only minutes from the Virginia Horse Park. The friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable. Quick check in and out helped make the stay more relaxing. Will definitely be back!

this hotel was not only offering a good price but the rooms are good size, they have refrigs and microwaves in the rooms and the rooms were very clean. I was traveling with my dogs and they are a pet friendly hotel and had a nice place to walk your dog.

On 11 November 2011. We departed Ohio for Virginia Beach Va. We arrived at Howard Johnson (Without Reservations) and was immediately acknowledged by the front desk personnel with a big welcome and without delay was booked a room and directions to it. Upon entring the room (FIrst floor with entrance, also to the outside). We proceeded to the main lobby where coffee was immediately available. With a wake up call, we then went to the complementary breakfast serving scrambled eggs and Belgiium waffles ( Both unusual at any other Inn) along with the rolls, coffee, cereal etc. I would highly recommend this establishment to all due to the cleanliness and overall appearance of the room and hotel in general.
