First the good - I had a consulting engagement near the hotel, so the location for me was fantastic. The front staff were always smiling and extremely helpful. Princess went out of her way to answer questions about the area. Checkout was a breeze at 3:30 in the morning because they had already printed my bill. The gym is small, but functional and the free laundry service was not bad. The items in the cupboard was reasonably priced for a hotel.
Now the bad, I do not know when the hotel was renovated, but the room was definitely starting to show some wear and tear around the edges, lines and chips in paint where drywall was separating, gouges in the wall, etc. The one thing that I noticed was that even though this is a once a week housecleaning for the rooms it also appeared to be the same for the rest of the hotel. the first floor hallway had mud tracked down the carpeting and when I left 5 days later it still had not been cleaned up. Also, one thing I noticed was that house keeping was once a week, but they give you enough towels for 3 days.

Thank you for commending our front desk staff TCPDump. I am happy to know that you thought it's worth staying here because of our amazing staff. However, I would like to apologize that your stay was not 100% to your satisfaction. I would like to address some of your concerns while you were with us. First, please forgive me for the mud tracks you found in our hallway. Please be assured that we vacuum our carpets everyday, but unfortunately after the housekeepers left for the day, we sometimes cannot help getting the carpets dirty at night when guests start to come in from work and the weather is bad outside. As far as the guest rooms, we are continually making improvements to ensure our suites are always in great condition. Please know that we have already taken measures to avoid any problems like this from occuring again, I can't thank you enough for bringing this matter to our attention. I hope you will give us another try next time you are in the Herndon area. We would love to be of service to you again in the future.
