Marriott Dulles is an older hotel, with some renovation in progress. Hallways are long, REALLY long, and narrow and feel a bit like an old cruise ship. The rooms are average in quality, definitely could use updating, but clean and quiet.
Room service prices are run-of-the-mill ridiculous ($40 bottle of wine is cheapest, chicken tenders for $12, steak for $37 , etc.) but the service was fast.
Restaurant is noisy; it's actually a restaurant bar combo behind the front desk check-in area and not reommended for conversatons.
Hotel staff, meaning cleaning crew, janitors, room set-up staff, etc., was among the best I have seen in many years of business travel which includes Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, etc. Every one I met was professional but helpful, looked me in the eye, friendly without being too familiar, etc. One gentleman put down his heavy equipment and walked me down the hall to find my room. As if he did that every day, and he probably did. :)
