I had to spend a night returning from central Maryland on a roadtrip. It was easy and cost effective to stay near Dulles. Weekend rates at the hotels in the area were very reasonable.

This ES is a typical one. The stay was pleasant but not anything that stood out. Service, room, and location were all fine. Room service was timely and the menu was what I would expect in a property of this nature.

The highlight of the stay was the value (good rate) and a solid night's sleep. The airport was not a disturbance and it is out in suburban DC where traffic and noise is limited.

I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

I would stay away from Room 224. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but I was surprised to find old stains on the towels and bed sheet. Also, the shower head and bathroom trash can were rusted. Since 224 is directly above the dining area, there was a loud humming sound coming from the dining sound until about 9:30-10PM. I do have to give credit to the front desk though - because they listened to my complaint and assured me that it would be taken care of immediately (and that's why I gave 3 stars instead of a lower score).

One other note is that my party arrived late (10PM from Dulles), and when we brought food back to the hotel, we were told that we could not eat it in the front lobby area after 10PM, so we ended up eating in our room - no big deal since conversational noise would probably drift up to the other floors since the rooms all face the courtyard.

The room itself was quiet after 10PM, and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was also fine. I would probably try staying there again, but definitely in a different room.

My family stayed at this Embassy Suites for a week when our home renovations had our heating system down during a cold spell. Despite using HHonors points, we received friendly service during check-in. They also gave us a room away from the elevators as requested. The unique feature of this Embassy Suites was George and Martha, the two swans that reside in the pond in the center courtyard.

Compared to a couple of other Embassy Suites, I found that the breakfast at this Embassy Suites to be better. The cut fruits were fresh and the fresh cooked breakfast items from the hot grill were delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient in cleaning up the tables during breakfast. The evening reception was also fun with free drinks and snacks. We found the 2-room suite to be clean and housekeeping good. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

One issue we had was with our room keys. In our one week stay, we had to reactivate our two room keys at least three times each. However, the receptionist was apologetic and quickly re-coded them.

Overall, our stay was very pleasant and we would recommend this hotel.

Have stayed at this Embassy Suites several times and it nevers fails to please me on a single trip or with my family. The two swans (George and Martha) are a great addition to the indoor water treatment and I look forward to visiting with them. The two room suites are great to sleep and work in with plenty of space. The nightly manager reception has limited food but tasty and the bartender drinks are very good. Morning breakfast lacks nothing that I need or desire.
