We stopped at this Hampton Inn along a very long drive from the northeast to the south. We arrived late in the evening, but had no issues checking in or getting a room. It appeared that they were in the process of renovating the first floor, but the hotel was still very clean and quiet. I was a little wary at first, getting a room that shared a wall with the ice machine, but they've done well at some point with insulation in the walls as I couldn't hear the machine at all, even when my husband stepped out of the room to get some. The room was updated with a beautiful bath and a nice, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. They had a great selection at breakfast, and it ran later than I expected on a weekday morning (which was quite nice after a late night arrival). Their coffee at breakfast was surprisingly excellent, which is unexpected as I think it's hard for many hotels that serve breakfast to keep the coffee fresh and not burned. Checkout was a breeze and we were on the road completely rested. It was a great location for us, being close to the interstate exit, and we were able to get right back on the road. Overall, it was a really nice stay, especially for the price, and it will be on our short list of places to stay if we need to make another, similar drive or if we want/need to visit the area.
