Had 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and 1 for our son and his family. Both rooms had a sewer smell when we entered. Toilets did not work well, had to lift the lid to flush. Rooms seemed clean. This hotel is located acrthe street from a large truck stop. Very loud all night long. Not a good nights sleep. Continental breakfast is usual fare for a Super 8. Checkin/out quick and friendly.

This Super 8 is cramped, run down, and dirty. Our room had several stink bugs and everytime we would get rid of 3 or 4 another 3 or 4 would take their place. At least the price was cheap.

This is the last hotel available for parents' weekend at James Madison University and I can see why. We arrived at 11 PM and were told they did not have a record of our booking. After an hour of dickering, it turned out the previous staff person had accidentally read our name wrong and given our room to someone else. Meanwhile, the woman we were dealing with could not read our name on the computer because it was highlighted in blue (honest!) With no apologies, we were given a smoking room which meant a room that REEKED of smoke. The manager blamed the online booker for assuring us we had a non-smoking room when, according to him, there were no available non-smoking rooms. Shame on us for believing the on-line bookers. The blanket felt like burlap, the breakfast was carb city, and we had to drag our suitcases up three flights of stairs- no elevator. Room service dumped towels outside our door. I wish I had crashed on my daughter's apartment floor for parents' weekend.

We stayed at Super 8 in Harrisonburg once and extra charges were added to our credit card after we had checked out. We visit the area often and there are honest motels to stay at, Ramada and Hampton Inn for example.
