Thanks for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry about the experience you had at our Days Inn. Clearly, we take our guests' safety and security seriously. Allegations of theft of guest's personal property are very serious and normal procedure would have been to report the theft to local law enforcement.

Our guest room "keys" are actually electronic swipe cards which are uniquely programmed for each and every guests who checks in to the guest room. The locks themselves have the ability to record each swipe and access to the guest room with a time stamp. When we are made aware of a possible theft, the hotel can pole the guest room lock and print a log of all activity in the last 30 days. This log can be provided to the police as evidence of who accessed the guest room.

I am sorry that the staff did not handle your issue well. Further, as the hotel was full we made the situation worse by being unable to accommodate you with a different guest room.

I am pleased that we honored our commitment to guest satisfaction by having refunded your money.

Hopefully, you will see fit to give us another chance to serve you when you travel through Harrisonburg next time.
