They say you get what you pay for, and in this case I am not even sure I got that! Of the 3 nights we stayed, not one of my family managed to sleep throughout the night, but the last night was by far the worst. The social gathering in the next room eventually dispersed in the early hours of the morning (4am) and a moments peace fell upon our room. Unfortunately, it didn't last long and the ineviatable Boy/Alcohol/Girl orchestra started up. This instrumental, from the headboard & wall sections, was fortuately not accompanied by either male or female vocals and lasted less than a minute. I remain hopeful that my 2 x young daughters managed to sleep through it!
The room brought out sore throats and a cough in 2 of us, not evident whilst we were out and about in the daytime. Dirty pillow cases, tired looking carpets & comforters just gave an unclean feel about it all.
The only positive slant I can give, is for the staff, who were both friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for them, they will have to go back to this shocking hotel, at least my family and I don't.
Lesson learnt - beware of the Hotwire bargain - pay the extra $20 a night and know where your staying!

I am sorry about the fact that you were not satisfied with your stay.
I am sorry about your family had to experience this inconvenience. Everyone staying at a hotel expects a good night's sleep. It is certainly disappointing when your neighbors in a hotel do not respect your privacy and desire to get a good nights sleep. Had you called the front desk and alerted us of the problem, we would have directly addressed the matter with the other guests.
I have spoken with the staff and reviewed the importance of monitoring activities of rowdy guests especially past 10pm. Please feel free to contact us directly to receive a refund.
I hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you at the Days Inn University Harrisonburg, Virginia.
