After a month here I can state that this place does not have Hylton extras or costs but is friendly, clean and in a great location. It is quite and family friendly and the staff are nice. Bring your laptop and enjoy the Wifi, there is no business center, excercise center, bar or fancy lobby, only what you need for an "extended stay". I like the small kitchen facilities in my room, great for light cooking and heating left overs from the near by shopping & restaurant district (only 2 blocks). Hampton is easy to get around and this place is in a central location and just far enough off I64 not to hear it. There are several places nearby to fish and easy access to the too many to name sites in Hampton Roads. Next time I am in the area I will stay here to spend a week, not a fortune!

Well check in went good then we got to our room and it was NOT the room that we booked! Then a woman across the hall had 3 dogs and it smelled horrible, we complained 3 times about pet urine in the hallway and it was never cleaned finally at the check out we said something again and they were supposed to refund us $87 and ended up charging $87 so we ended up paying for 3 nights instead of 1!!! The rooms were discusting, old, the AC fell off of the wall, and we overheard a woman complaining at the desk saying there was hair in her bed! No breakfast not even coffee in the morning! We will NEVER go back!

I booked on-line and stayed two nights in April, received great welcome at front desk upon arrival. The price is just what I needed and the room was clean, and freshly painted. Was given a room upgrade as option to room change on a higher floor. Slept well, monitored room parking lot with key access in/out. All in all it was a great stay, with a friendly price. Everyone at the front desk and in the lobby were courteous, polite and very helpful.

Well be returning in May.

Beds comforters have been around since the 70's. Musty smell in the room and only one cold setting for the thermostat.
