“The pefect way to ring in the New Year”

The Washington Suite is one of the best rooms we have experienced while staying in Select Registry properties. The room is spacious and extremly comfortable, while being formal. The bathroom is of spa like quality and also quite large.

The owners/innkeeps (Troy/Theresa) are always on site and make you feel welcomed into their home like friends/family. We enjoyed our New Year stay so well, we booked the Washington Suite ring in the 2012 New Year.

“Special beautiful getaway”

Awesome stay at a beautiful historical home for our trip to Virginia to celebrate our anniversary and attend a wedding. We wanted a quiet place out of the hurry and bustle of the Williamsburg area during the summer travel time. The drive to the Inn was beautiful and relaxing after a day at the beach or shopping. We were able to unwind and enjoy the sites of the area. Our room (Meriwether Lewis) was beautiful, quiet, and very comfortable. Slept great. We ejoyed spending time at the boat house our first night eating a yummy summer basket at sunset. Great views and a night I will always remember. The staff were all friendly and always made sure that we were well taken care of. One morning they had a breakfast for us to take as we left early to explore the sites. Another morning that we left very early for the airport, the coffee pot was set up by a timer to be ready for us to get a cup. Thanks again for your hospitality and we would love to visit the Inn at Warner Hall again.

“Spectacular! Most romantic B & B within 3 hours of Washington DC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2010

My husband and I just returned after spending the Memorial Day weekend at Warner Hall. We have visited many B & B's, including other Select Registry properties, but we found this one to be the best by far. The accommodations are fabulous, from the smallest decorating detail to all of the top-drawer amenites provided for guests. We were in the Mildred Warner room, which is a huge room with an unparalleled view (from 3 large windows) of the water. The room also has a fireplace, a sitting area, and a very nice modernized bathroom with a large shower with bench inside.
The hosts have thought of everything. There is a well-stocked bar, free coffee and tea in the mornings, a sumptuous breakfast, snacks and sodas all day long, a guest computer and printer, activity equipment (kayaks), etc. etc. The towels and robes are wonderful. It was such a treat to enjoy coffee from the antique walnut bed while enjoying a view of the water. There are beautiful porches and sitting areas on each level with every possible orientation (water, pasture, entrance driveway).
We enjoyed the chef's tasting dinner on Saturday evening. There were over 30 guests, which apparently is a larger group than usual. In addition to the Inn guests, there were re-enactors on the property, who wore colonial period costumes and danced on the porch as we enjoyed dessert. The dinner was a leisurely 2 hour affair which we enjoyed on the river porch. Breakfast also is served on the porch, and it comes with all of the little luxury touches such as crystal goblets.
Theresa and Troy, the owners and hosts, live on the property. They were very welcoming without being intrusive. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.
The Inn is only 25-30 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, and it would be a wonderful place to stay while enjoying all of the local history there. The innkeepers provided turn-by-turn directions to the Inn, which were very helpful since it is a little bit off the beaten track. We will definitely return to the Inn at Warner Hall!

“Best B&B Experience...ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2010

My wife and I are connoisseurs of B&B's and have visited quite a few over the years, but Warner Hall is hands down the finest B&B we have ever visited.

The property is spectacular and its clear that no expense was spared in the renovation and restoration of this historic home. Everything was clean and crisp, but all of the historic elements that make the house special were retained. Our room was HUGE, but cozy and comfortable and had the perfect balance of homey touches without feeling like you were staying in a friend's guest room (which I find is a difficult balance for many B&B's to strike).

The public rooms were gracious and provided the sense that you could spend the whole day there if you wished. In the evening, the house transforms into a restaurant open to the public and the energy of the lobby and dining room are exciting. While dinner was not on par with a four-star restaurant, it was very, very good and complemented the quality of the stay. In the morning, the dining area took on a whole new character as a breakfast room. It was light and bright and again offered the opportunity to be as social with other guests as you liked. Finally, the room rates are amazingly affordable. I almost didn't book here because I thought the rooms were so inexpensive, there must be something wrong with the place.

All in all, a gem of an inn that I absolutely, unequivocally recommend to anyone.

“Wonderful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

This was our second visit to Warner Hall and I think it will remian one of our all time favourite places to stay. The setting by the water is great, the rooms are large and spacious and Teresa and Troy are wonderful hosts. The Supper baskets are to be recomended and sitting in the boat house at sunset is the best way to enjoy them!
