We had a wonderful time at Cape Charles House. The room and entire house were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Cheese, wine and crackers every afternoon was such a lovely treat. Our hosts were also extremely knowledgeable about the local area--offering suggestions for restaurants, beach visits and kayaking. It was an amazing vacation made possible by the hosts at Cape Charles House.

My husband and I stayed at the Cape Charles House while attending a wedding. in the fall of 2010. Innkeepers, Bruce and Carol Evans are incredible hosts. They have a passion and commitment for providing world class service to their guests. The House has lots of charm, and is wonderfully furnished. Breakfast is a real treat; delicious, creative recipes will tempt your taste buds in the morning. We loved our stay and we will be back.

Check in was so easy to this beautifully decorated B&B. We were staying over the christmas weekend, the tree and hallway was warm and welcoming. Bruce and Carol upgraded us to the Thomas Dixon room. We loved the antiques and decor of the room. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub which makes it very relaxing.

Carol is an AMAZING chef; she made two breakfasts for us. The first was a frittata with poached pears and biscuits. The second was salsa eggs, pesto potatos, baked apples with cinnamon and eccleciastes bread with fig pudding. Both days we had the house blend of coffee and juice.

Another official greeter is their one eared cat, Mr. Kitty. He is so friendly, he let me pick him up. Definitely, make reservations here if you are staying in the area.

For a quite getaway where hospitality is as exceptional as it is genuine look no further than Cape Charles House run by Carol and Bruce. Looking for a base to kayak the lower Chesapeake Bay my wife found this B&B. We could not have been more comfortable. The breakfast was nothing short of 5 Star. The house was immaculate and if you enjoy the ambiance of antique furnishings , you will not be disappointed here.
