We arrived for the 3-4 PM check-in on a Friday and stayed through Sunday until the 11 AM check-out. There were 2 couples and each had a very nice,spacious room and private bath which was cleaned daily. Linens and towels were refreshed. Each room had a flat-screen TV and a small refrigerator which was nice for chilling our wine. Two wine glasses were also in each room upon arrival. Bottled water was in the frig upon our arrival too. Our breakfasts ,served each morning promptly at 9 AM, were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! The owners home ( facing the water) was just lovely and they were interesting to listen to in how they had come to the VA Eastern Shore after having had 2 previous bed and breakfasts in other states. They had many brochures and books to help us know how to tour, shop, and eat in the area. Their 2 Westies and 3 cats were fun to watch and well-mannered. There was no pool or fitness center at house. We spent most of the time touring the area.

Sandy and Hank have created the perfect getaway spot on the eastern shore of Virginia. With two well appointed rooms and a beautifully remodeled home we were wishing we could have spent another day. Right across the street is the Chesapeake Bay and Cape Charles is only a 45 minute drive from Norfolk. We'll go back!

My wife and I had previously visited Cape Charles for a vacation and rented a house and decided to return for a weekend getaway but this time stay at a B&B. We were very pleased with our choice! Hank & Sandy have done an amazing job of restoring this house and have wonderful rooms with new private bathrooms. They even have mini-fridges which is helpful for storing some items to take to the beach or the inevitable leftovers from the great restaurants in town. They are literally across the road from the beach and provide beach towels and chairs for you to take over, so you can pack light! It was also great to lay in bed (in the Sunset room) and watch the ships sail by on the bay.
They were wonderful hosts, along with their Westies and are amazing cooks. My wife was so impressed with the breakfast presentation she took pictures of the food! You will not leave breakfast hungry. Cape Charles is a small town so you can pretty much walk anywhere from their home if you want. Would definately recomend this place for a weekend trip. Ken & Katy, Washington, DC

We had a delightful weekend at Chesapeake Bay View B and B. It is a newly renovated 1927 mansion across from the beach in Cape Charles, Va. Great care was used in renovating this house and we had the Sunset Room, facing the Chesapeake Bay. Sandy, our hostess, could not have been more accommodating. I can not eat anything with gluten and she went out of her way to make me special breakfast items that were delicious and still make a regular meal for my husband. Sandy and Hank have many years of experience running three B and B's in various places on the East Coast. We have stayed in over 60 B and B's in the last 15 years and this is one of the best.
