during our stay in Cape Charles VA. we stayed at this hotel. It was off of route 13 south. no highway noise. it sits in the middle of a huge open feild. Cookie, the manager was curteous,pleasant and always on call. Minor problems were no frying pan and few utensils, but we were given a pan upon asking. A walkway light outside the room made it hard to sleep the first night due to no curtains. my wife had a great idea to get a full fitted sheet that could be stretched around the inside window frame. worked like a charm!!

This is a must stay with a full kitchen, great price, EXTREMELY FRIENDLY manager who, by the way, stays on the property and available whenever you need her, quiet establishment. Amenities are as close as two block for gas & very nice meal at Sting Rays Restaurent (little mom and pop place with homecooked meals) to 6 miles for McDonalds, Hardees, grocery store, etc. The property sits just off US 13 on the left after you cross the Chesapeak Bay Bridge Tunnel. We loved it so much, we plan on returning soon for a pleasure trip. There is much more to see in Cape Charles. Shore Stay is in a quiet town with beautiful surroundings. Thanks Shore Stay (Cookie)

The Hotel Manager was nice, sweet and helpful. The rooms were outstanding, clean, large with comfortable beds. Everything you needed was right at your finger touch. The Manager was right there just a phone call or knock at the door away. The rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and linens. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Stayed at Shore Stay with the Mrs. for a December Fishing Trip. Most of the recent posts you will read below is pretty factual. "SGT. Cookie" does run a pretty tight ship, but if you are looking for a good, clean place to stay with the Mrs or family, it is a pretty good place to hang you hat. I am sure that if the rules were not in place, the carpets, bed, parking lots, etc., would look like all the other "fishing hotels" in the area. (Might be good enough for a bunch of old, cursty fishermen who have a mind of their own and do as they please, but not a place that I think my wife would deserve or enjoy). The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and neat, the shower water is hot, and the nice kitchens help make your stay more affordable than eating out all the time. And the bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home!!!. The first time will take you a little getting use to the SOP, but the facilities are good quality. I will return.
